I love these Flexee things, but they are very long in the stride. I have many because they do smoothe out the "lumps and bumps". I wish they would make a shorter version. I altered one, but I'd really rather they just make a petite version even though I'm not really short at 5'4". Flexees has also changed this body briefer a bit over the years and I'm not sure it's an improvement. Cup sizes required some trial and error, too. I still like it very much and have both colors.I've never tried Shapewear before. I've heard that it's usually uncomfortable. This one wasn't. In fact, it felt just like a swimsuit. I didn't really notice any 'shaping' happening, however. So...if you're looking for something to give you some sort of modification, perhaps another briefer would work. But, this one isn't a bad one to start with at all, and it is not uncomfortable. It has a soft, satiny finish and feel with a non-bulky hook-and-eye closure at the crotch area - just so you know. But again, it wasn't obtrusive. Hope this helps!I ordered a 34C - which is my regular size - and was very happy with the fit. The leg openings were comfortable and it was relatively easy to put on. The bra top fit well and I had no problems with the straps falling. Overall, this does a great job smoothing beneath clothing, but I don't consider it a "control top" for my butt or belly. If you're looking for something to slim you, this isn't the product you're looking for. But if you're looking to smooth out your curves beneath clothing while staying comfortable then I'd recommend this for you.I like to cross dress from time to time, and reading some the these reviews for intimates I am not alone.I got this crossing my fingers it would be as expected and it was! Smooth, soft satin-like material. Fit very well, I know my band size is 38 but wasn't sure on the length. I am 6 feet tall and around 145-155 (slim). Fit perfectly, not too tight, but also not bunched up or wrinkling anywhere either. Not really much of a sharper like a corset or a shaper panty would be but then again I don't have much to shape as I am very lean.Great buy in my opinion. Hopefully this helped some others also in the same boat as me.As other reviewers have noted, this item is not much for shaping as for smoothing. I actually ordered a band size smaller than normal thinking that it might give me more shaping benefits, and it really still is more of a smoother, which is fine. The cups are nice and give a decent lift. I wear shapers every day, and this is a fine addition to my collection.UPDATE: I went another size smaller, and now I feel like I'm getting the benefits I was looking for. Yeah!I only gave it 4 stars because I should have ordered a larger size. I'm 5'2" and I often have trouble with things being too long. This was a very comfortable fit. It smoothed everything out without cutting off my circulation and making it difficult to breath.I'll order another one in a D cup and I think it will lengthen it just enough to keep the panty from riding. Overall. I don't think I'll use anything else but these. I've tried Spanx and they're just painful to wear. This is a great shaper for the price. The cups provide nice shaping. The torso is a little short for me. I'm 5'4" and purchased a 34D. In another model by the maker, I did not have the same problem in a 36D. So I might have been better off with a 36C in this model. Unlike the othe Flexees model, this does not have any seams in the front, so you get a totally smooth effect.I own several of these bodybriefers. They are great for everyday wear that helps hold in that muffin top if you have one (it doesn't eliminate it, but it helps). I purchase these 3 or 4 at a time because they are so hard to come by. They're extremely comfortable with a moderate amount of hold that doesn't make you feel like you're suffocating. Great with jeans, dresses, etc., they eliminate the need for a bra and shapewear, and really shape your bustline nicely. I buy a 38D (I normally wear a 36DDD), and it fits just fine with good, general support. Buy them, you will love it!
