They are soft and comfortable to sleep on.I love these shams and the color is just right to go with my light gray comfort setMan I recommend this pillow case, I bought the pink ones then I saw a three star review that scared me into thinking I made the wrong choice so I also bought the pillow cases they seemed to have recommended (as I peeped their profile and they gave a different brand a 5 star review) and... while the other brand ended up looking more shiny and silky, they were scratchy and not soft at all! The not as good pillow cases were only two dollars cheaper! These pillow cases ended up being a much better deal.These pillow cases I've had and have been using for a week now, washed them twice, still good as new! They are pretty and soft, and I'm only writing this review as I got scared I made the wrong choice when I really truly made the right choice!Also, I washed the cheaper ones the SAME delicate way and... some of the stitching came out... e-e for two dollars more, these are hands down the pillow cases I recommend! I will add that I'm new to satin but, comparing the two this pillow case is an easy win.I love the pillow cases and will keep them, but the color (taupe) is way off, nothing like taupe at all, perhaps champagne or dark beige, I had previously ordered a taupe bed skirt and throw which were lovely and wanted the pillow cases to match. Having said all that I have to say that they are very well made of lovely material, and are so soft. Just wish the color had been closer.I purchased these, as I was specifically looking for something that was satin… As I need something that is easy on my hair (I am confined to my bed due to to an injury) … it is tough on my hair to be rubbing against a pillow all day. I must say these are somewhat better than a regular cotton pillowcase, but a far cry from what I would consider satiny, They are more like polished cotton., Which is soft and shiny but satiny soft. They are nice pillowcases and I will keep them. But they do not serve the purpose and I was somewhat taken in by the description.All I can say is that they're OK, they are cooler than flannel P cases but not as cool as other P cases, they are smoother than a cotton P case but not as smooth as other P cases. The colour is exactly as illustrated. I would not buy them again, not because they are bad, they are just not as good as I would like them to be.
