I got this body pillow after being diagnosed with two slip discs in my neck that give me great pain on the left side of my neck and into my left shoulder. I'm a side sleeper, but even sleeping on my right side I was still in pain. My chiropractor recommended I get a body pillow to help prop up My left shoulder while laying on my right side so that it doesn't fall forward. This has worked like a gem! Not only has it reduced my pain, but the position I was sleeping in previously to try to alleviate pain was making me snore. My husband says I haven't snored a single time since I got the body pillow.The cooling gel is very cool to the touch when you first get in bed. Now that we are getting into winter, some nights it's too cold for me to want to touch. However, I get really hot in my sleep, so I appreciate it most of the time. I have noticed that it doesn't stay cool throughout the night. once my body heat makes the temperature of it rise, it doesn't really go back to being cool again until I have stopped touching it for a while. But, I'm still very happy with my purchase.I love this pillow and will have to get a second one soon. My daughter keeps taking it and wants one of her own. The only down fall is I was hoping it would be colder. I get very hot and can't sleep. But this is a wonderful pillow regardless.When the pillow came and I unboxed it I noticed a very bad strong smell. After about 12 hours it was much better. The pillow itself is not as long as I expected but then it is my fault for not checking the size better. It is very very heavy clunky and not at all comfortable. As far as the cooling aspect, the cooling gel is not very cool does not stay very cool for very long. I am thinking about returning it I am not happy with the pillow.Got this for my wife. She loves it. She's a side sleeper but likes to have a pillow between her knees and ankles and to put her arm over. This pillow has a soft feel, but firm enough to keep it's shape. The cooling gel is a nice extra.Pillow does it job well just don't use it to lay your head (on me not the seller lol). Pillow doesn't shape itself to your head and will hurt your neck since your neck will a lot. Can't blame seller since its advertised as a body pillowDefinitely does the job of cooling you down and is comfortable to rest your head on. Have had for a few weeks and the smell is still strong and keeps me from putting my face near the pillow.This pillow is alright. Not awful, not the greatest. You really have to be laying on it to get to feel the cooling part. We have a silk pillow cover in so it’s not very thick you’d think we’d be able to feel the cooling more.It's LITERALLY a pillow case with a silicone square built in, that goes on the regular body pillow that comes with it.It is comfy, and it does cool at first. But once your body heats up the silicone, it's just a heat saver then.Def not worth 50 bucks. Maybe 30...max.To suggest this pillow offers support or is firm couldn't be farther from reality. When you lay on it, you might as well be flat on the mattress. The wee little bit of poly fill flattens down like there's nothing there. Five minutes was enough to realize this piece of junk had to go back. One thing's for sure, it is supremely underfilled and highly overpriced!Really great!
