Great photographic plates and illustrations for an introductory course in human anatomy. Years ago Dr. F. Martini and M. Timmons co authored "Human Anatomy" (ISBN 0 13 444134 6) 1995 with Dr. Willam C. Ober (art coordinator and illustrator) , C Garrison, R.N. (Illustrator), and Dr. Kathleen Welsh (clinical consultant), and R Hutchings (biomedical photographer). This is an outstanding accompaniment to that book or any undergraduate anatomy course / text. Martini's Atlas of the Human Body is an outstanding collection of illustrations, photographs, and "real world" cadaver and diagnostic medical images. The Atlas features large plates of superior quality which could be removed from the atlas and wall mounted / framed. The images in the Atlas are regionally organized. The Atlas makes it easy to relate clear diagrammatic Illustrations of an anatomy textbook to the real world of dissection images and medical scans. Along with the "Human Anatomy" text, "Martini's Atlas of the Human Body" is a must have for any Pre-Med or Pre-Nursing student who desires a clear and eloquent understanding of human anatomy (along with Netter's Anatomy Flash Cards). Lastly, The Atlas contains a separate section of a visual summary of human embryological development (just in case your anatomy course covers that topic).
