This book was recommended to me by an acquaintance when we were discussing our health concerns. I initially tried to get it from the library, but it was not in the library system. Having purchased and read it, I can say that it is a book to read, re-read and then use as a working manual. It is not a borrow-from-the-library book if you believe in what she writes. In the Introduction, Laura Alden Kamm tells her own story and then describes how she views people after experiencing her life-changing event and the skills she acquired as a result. It was for me a compelling story. The remainder of the book discusses the various aspects of developing one's own intuitive approach to healing. There is a chapter on understanding the qualities of various common health concerns (e.g. arthritis, high blood pressure, depression) from the perspective of a medical intuitive. Throughout the book, she gives examples based on individuals she has worked with and encourages the reader to use the information provided to develop their own intuition and chart their own path. She does not recommend this in lieu of seeking medical help, if needed. She does recommend this as a means of developing a better understanding of your health concern and thus being able to provide better information to your physician so it can be addressed medically. The Appendix provides several types of meditations to help the reader become more tuned into him/herself. It is a spiritual book, which guides the reader in learning to communicate with their soul and thus finding peace.
