First, I have to admit I am a fan of Dan Brown's detailed novels that weave the power of the Catholic church with the many mysteries that surround its history. If you like that sort of thing you will be as entranced by The Inquisitors Key as I was. Part of the Body Farm series, this story intertwines forensic pathology with the early power of the Church and influence of science to expose treacheries both medieval and current day. Dr. Brockton, is the forensic pathologist or archaeologist, and Miranda, is his graduate student are a great pair of characters and the churches and papal residences of Avignon provide the rich and mysterious backdrop for the latest case. I loved every chapter!
